Located on the southern shores of Lake Taupo, 12km from Turangi. With approximately 1200 houses nestled in clearings of the native bush with many of the houses enjoying views of Lake Taupo and the Kaimanawa ranges.
Within the township there are about 400 permanent residents. During the summer holidays and other public holidays throughout the year the population grows up to 6000.
